# Failed for upgrade sockte.io

Hi

Current socket.io version is 0.9.16 in Licode. I want use newest

version 1.3.7. but I can’t building successfully.  
Could you help give some guidance for upgrade [socket.io](http://socket.io) to newest  
version?

my steps for upgrade:
firstly, I download newest socket.io, and replace directory socket.io 

```

in node\_module  
second, change below command in file ‘installErizo\_controller.sh’

- npm install --loglevel error amqp [socket.io](http://socket.io)@1.3.7 log4js node-getopt\*

lastly, rebuild licode with below command:
#cd licode/scripts
#./installErizo.sh

After that failed logs:
