Best port for Licode Connection

Hi All,

We have developed a conferencing application on top of licode.

For this application, we are using SSL connection & port no 8443 to connect to licode.
windows defender on a particular system’s firewall blocked this port so we are not able to establish the connection to licode from that machine.

we are planning to change the licode port (erizo controller). which port will better to use?

Any suggestion about which port to use?

We had heard about Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (https://www.iana.org/) which will help to register port with our company name. will it do any better?

Hi,

You can use Nginx as a reverse proxy to route all connections through a standard port (e.g. 443) which is open in all firewalls! Here is a useful guide: http://lynckia.com/licode/nginx-dep.html
